What has changed under the new program as of June 6th, 2011?
Homeowners are required to register as a ‘New Participant’ or ‘Past Particpant’ prior to booking their pre energy evaluation. Homeowners are required to provide this registration number to their energy advisor. To register, click here.
Homeowners must provide receipts to their Energy Advisor at the time of their post – energy evaluation. These receipts must state that all products were purchased after June 6th, 2011 and installed after their pre-retrofit evaluation.
Who is eligible?
You are not eligible if you have previously received money back from the government for either the EcoEnergy or LiveSmart BC Grants.If you have already had an EcoEnergy Assessment, but have not completed upgrades and done the final EcoEnergy Assessment then you can re enter the program but will have pay full price ($300) to redo the initial EcoEnergy Assessment.

What tests need to be done?
Customer must have two tests done on their home in order to be eligible for the grants. You are required to have a pre-retrofit evaluation prior to any Energy Efficient upgrades and a post retrofit after the job is completed.
How do I apply?
You can contact QHI or an EcoEnergy Assessment provider in your area to have the testing done on your home. In order to qualify for the grants you will need to have to have two tests done on your home. One prior to any energy improvements and one after all renovations are complete.
How does QHI help me?
QHI will evaluate your home energy shortcomings and provide you with an estimate that will improve efficiency and value. We will also coordinate with a local EcoEnergy Assessment provider to set up your initial EcoEnergy audit. In order to qualify for the energy grants and rebates for your home you will need to show your home's energy efficiency before the improvements and then again after the improvements are done.
When do the LiveSmart BC grants expire?
A customer has 18 months from their first EcoEnergy testing or until March 31st, 2013 to complete their renovations. Please note that although the Livesmart BC program expires on March 31, 2013 it can end sooner if the program budget runs out.
When do the ecoEnergy grants expire?
