A Family Affair
From our humble beginnings with a single insulation blowing truck, Quality Home Improvements has first and foremost been a family-run operation.
Founded on strong principles and family values, Tom and his wife Janet were the first QHI employees, but over the years every member of the Smith family clan has been on the QHI team. Their son, Jeff, works as the Installation Manager and daughter Jaime works in the office, her job title changing daily as she helps Sonjia and Barb take care of the heart of the operations. Two of their sons-in-law, Joel and Mike, have also joined the team as key installers.
Many employees have also become part of the Smith family. Sonjia and Barb (office & operations support) as well as Bill, Dave, and Malcom (sales) have been with QHI for over 10 years. Long-term installer Steve and installation co-ordinator (and resident go-to-guy) Stu have been with QHI for over 15 years.
With Jeff and Jaime taking a keen interest in the business along with the wealth of support and experience from their extended family, it's safe to say that QHI will stay in the family long after Tom and Janet retire. This means that the same values and principles that have guided the company for 20 years will continue to be the bedrock of QHI.
