Quality Home Improvements carries the Boreal and Primera Window series. We have sold and installed Vinyltek windows and patio doors for over 20 years because they manufacture the highest quality window available in Canada. All Vinyltek windows are:
- Manufacturerd locally on Annacis Island in Delta, BC
- Rated in both A and B zones – qualify for $60 rebate per window through government grants
- Stronger 3 1/4" frame
- Three weather seals on sashes
- Sashes lift out for easy cleaning, including ability to clean the outside from inside your house
- Glide system instead of wheels and tracks – easier to clean and operate
- Shadow grooved corner welds for nicer appearance on the inside and outside
- Steel reinforced frame and sashes on larger windows
- Low E3 and argon – a gas that is located in between the panes of glass. It works as a insulator keeping the heat in your home and the cold out in the winter and the opposite with the house cool in the summer and the heat out. This is what makes the windows Energy Star Rated.
- Lifetime warranty on labour and materials – 15 years transferrable
- Can be painted on the inside and outside
- Double locking systems
Features Specific to Boreal 2000 & 6000 Series
- 11 chambers
- Choice of 3 rebate flanges, 3 brickmolds, nail flange or box frame (can be removed or cut)
- Ganged system/mullion system
Features Specific to Primera 1800 Series
- 9 chambers
- Only available with integral rebate flange or nail flange (flange comes as one whole piece)
- Mullion system
Vinyltek Boreal 2000 & 6000 Series Window Types Available
- O lite window - fixed window, non-opening
- XO or OX slider windows – horizontal slider slides from side to side, most common style of window
- SH or single hung window – vertical slider slides from bottom to top
- XOX, XOO or OOX – double slider window. Has a slider on each side and a fixed O lite in the middle – used to replace larger windows
- LC or RC (crank) – left or right casement window. Only available in crank out.
- LCO or RCO (crank) – left or right casement with a fixed window attached. Also only available in crank out.
- Double hung – same idea as a single hung except the bottom and top slide vertically so that you can get airflow from the top of the window and the bottom
- LCRC, RCLC, LCORC, RCOLC – Casement windows (left or right as above) attached or with a fixed window separating them. Also used for larger windows but with a more “stylish” look then the XOX
- Rake or Shape windows – angle window
- Radius or Arch top windows – rounded window at the top
- Bays, Garden or Bow windows – used for front windows that are replacing an existing one
- O/XO or XO/O – fixed window over or under a horizontal slider
- O/XOX or XOX/O – fixed window over or under a double horizontal slider
- PATIO DOORS – standard sizes, 5’, 6’, 8’ (XO or OX), 9’ (OXO or OOX), 10’ or 12’ (OXXO)

- O lite window – fixed window, non-opening

- Full awning window – entire window pushes out
- A/O – awning window with top that pushes out and the bottom fixed
- O/A – awning window pushes out on the bottom and fixed portion on top
- LC, RC (push out) – left or right casement window that push out
- LCO or RCO (push out) – left or right casement with a fixed window attached. Also only available in crank out.
- LCRC, RCLC, LCORC, RCOLC (push out) – Casement windows (left or right) attached or with a fixed window separating them. Also used for larger windows but with a more “stylish” look then the XOX.
- O/XO – fixed window over a horizontal slider
- All other configurations and patio doors can be made in the Boreal Series
